Awards and Recognition

Hancock Health has received many awards and recognitions over the years, including the Pathway to Excellence designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). We are accredited by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) and by several other regional, state, and national organizations, including:

Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade "A"

Hancock Regional Hospital has received a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Score A rating for hospital safety for the fall 2020 period. We’re one of only 11 hospitals in Indiana, and one of only two in Central Indiana, to be so honored.

What does our A rating mean? It means we’re responsive. We communicate well. We’re committed to continuously improving our safety standards, from promoting hand hygiene to reducing infections and preventing harm.

We also received the highest score in both the spring and fall 2020 reports for effective leadership, staff working together, and tracking and reducing risks to patients. It proves our dedication to working together to increase patient safety.

Society of Chest Pain Centers

Hancock Regional Hospital is accredited by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. As an Accredited Chest Pain Center, we ensure that patients who come to our emergency department complaining of chest pain or discomfort receive the immediate treatments necessary to minimize heart damage. Our cardiology team works seamlessly with community emergency medical services (EMS) and other departments to give patients the right care during a heart attack’s critical early stages.
