Mrs. Fannie Andis
Hancock Health was the dream of Mrs. Fannie Andis, who lost her only child at birth. She always felt that if a hospital had been in Greenfield, her child would have survived.
After her tragedy, Fannie began her crusade to bring a hospital to Greenfield. She donated a large parcel of land to the county, and in 1951, Hancock Memorial Hospital was established on that very land. In 2005, the hospital was renamed Hancock Regional Hospital.
Hancock Regional Hospital
Hancock Regional Hospital serves Hancock County and the surrounding areas as a full-service community hospital focused on primary care, patient comfort, and convenience.
Today, a highly skilled medical and professional nursing staff anchors Hancock Regional Hospital. We have a state-of-the-art surgery department, 24-hour emergency services, OB services, progressive and critical care, home healthcare, occupational health, a transitional care unit, a total oncology program with a cutting-edge radiation oncology center, many private rooms, and a full complement of Inpatient and outpatient services.
Hancock Wellness Center
In 2000, to meet the growing health and wellness needs of the community, Hancock Regional Hospital relocated its fitness facility, Lifetime Fitness, to a new and larger 33,000-square-foot facility in Greenfield. In 2016, we opened a second facility in McCordsville. Both locations focus on a complete health regimen rather than fitness alone.
Hancock Physician Network
In 1998, the Hancock Physician Network was established to provide high-quality health care for Hancock County’s growing population. Today, the network offers a full range of physician’s services to individuals, families, local industries, and schools. It is unrivaled in its commitment to providing world-class, compassionate care to patients of all ages.
