- Postive Parenting – The class is FREE to anyone who would like to learn more about the birth to 2 year age group and techniques to cope in positive ways with what can be the more “stressful” times of parenting. Expectant parents welcome! Qualified participants receive a video baby monitor. Participants must register for this limited-space class prior to attending by going to www.facebook.com/hancockcountychildren and click on the events link. - Car Seat Program – Hancock Health wants to encourage the proper use of child restraints to ensure that all children are riding safely. Evaluations are done by appointment only and last approximately 30 minutes per child/seat. We offer appointments at Hancock Regional Hospital and at Hancock Wellness Center- McCordsville. Spots fill quickly so please call in advance. You may also contact us for advice when purchasing seats. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call or text (317) 318-8425
- Prenatal Tours – Tours of the maternity/OB area are available on the first Saturday of each month. Please meet in the Information desk area at l:00 p.m. and someone will take you on a guided tour and answer questions. No registration is needed. Tours normally last about 30 minutes.
- Safe Sleep Class – Safe Sleep Classes, in partnership with the Children’s Bureau, occur on the first Thursday of each month at Hancock Regional Hospital. Eligible class participants will receive a Graco®-band Pack ‘n’ Play®, a sleep sack and education materials regarding important safe sleep practices. The class is FREE to expectant parents or parents of children under age 1. Participants must register by calling (317) 770-8328

- About the Golden Hour
- Bump Club – Meet other expectant moms that are traveling on the journey to one of life’s most memorable days. This is a social group with some great information and resources to help with your big event. Come join us for mocktails and hors d’oeuvres and receive a FREE Evenflo infant carrier and a baby bump picture courtesy of Shawna Lee Photography. - Beyond the Bump – POSTPARTUM SUPPORT is for new and experienced moms to learn from and support one another. A facilitator will be present each week to help with the many questions that arise after having a new baby and in the first year of life.The facilitator team consists of an RN board certified lactation consultant/infant feeding specialist, a new mommy who is a certified car seat technician, another mother with young children who is a licensed marital and family therapist, and a nurse educator. This group is especially helpful when breastfeeding moms return to work and need support. Scales will be available for baby weight checks. Come join us in a casual setting and make some friends along the way! Best of all, it’s FREE! 5:30-6:30 P.M. every Wednesday, lower level, bariatric classroom. Establishing Paternity
Establishing paternity gives your child a legal father. If the parents are not married at the time of conception or when the child is born, both should think about establishing paternity now. Even if the parents live together or plan to marry, establishing paternity assures protection of the child’s and parents’ rights. For more information click here.
