Hancock County desperately needs professional services and support programs to address the growing mental illness and substance abuse problems in our community. With the help of donations raised by the Foundation, Hancock Health is adding services and expanding programs to help meet this need. But we still need your support. Help us before December 31, and your gift will be doubled up to $25,000 by a matching donation from Dave’s Express Car Wash & Grill.
Your gift is an investment in Hancock County’s professional services and support programs to address the growing mental illness and substance abuse problems in our community.
We’ve raised $3 million in generous donations from the community but our work is not done!
Generous donations from the community have enabled us to:
- Increase capacity for individual and group therapy and reduce wait times by adding more licensed clinical social workers
- Provide Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for individuals struggling with substance use disorder
- Hire Support Navigators to help patients and family choose treatment options, identify and overcome barriers and stay on a path to wellness.
- Offer school-based prevention and early intervention treatment services for youth
Your friends and coworkers. Your neighbors and relatives. Your kids. And just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it isn’t there.
It can lead to dropping out of school, unemployment, arrest, teen pregnancy, and premature death.
Right now, there aren’t enough mental health and substance use treatment facilities or professionals in Hancock County. And many who need help don’t have the means to pay for it.
